Compose, reply and track an email
Prepare your message as a draft, check the sending identity and follow the result. An accepted request and confirmed delivery are different states.
The guides describe available tasks. Some options depend on your plan, your workspace’s capabilities and your provider’s permissions.
Prepare a complete draft
Start a new message or choose Reply in a conversation. The draft retains your text, recipients, attachments and reply context. Check the saved indication before leaving important work; a rejected save still needs attention.
When forwarding, review the quoted content, recipients and included files. A signature or template helps you compose, but its content remains yours. A reply should not go to everyone unless that is what you intend.
- Choose a new message, reply or forward to match your intention.
- Check From, To, Cc and Bcc before adding your content.
- Check draft saving and attachments before sending.
Choose the sending identity
The From field links an address to an account authorised to send. Gmail and Microsoft use only the connected account’s primary address. The same address elsewhere does not allow providers to be substituted; other addresses require their own explicit configuration.
An ambiguous reply requires a choice. Settings can remember an exact association without extending it to an entire domain. An unavailable identity remains flagged: choose another explicitly. Changing a preference does not rewrite existing drafts or saved send operations.
Cancel or schedule an email
The cancellation delay defaults to five seconds and can be changed to one of the offered values. Use Cancel within the displayed window to stop the request. The result confirms cancellation; closing the notification is not enough.
You can schedule an email for a chosen date. The operation retains its recipients, files and sending identity. Check the displayed date and time before confirming. Changing the cancellation delay or preferred sender afterwards does not move an already accepted deadline.
Open Aerogram settings → Writing and sending → Sending and undo to adjust the delay. Sender preferences and signatures have separate views in this category. Switching views preserves entries without saving them; changing a setting does not rewrite a draft or an already accepted deadline.
Understand the result
The tracking card distinguishes preparation, waiting, sending, success, rejection and an uncertain result. Rejection preserves the draft. If the result is uncertain, check Sent before trying again: Aerogram does not automatically resend that operation.
With Microsoft, a 202 response only means the request was accepted. It does not prove delivery or automatically complete a reminder or associated archive action. Check Sent; a copy there does not prove that the recipient received it.
An editable signature for new mailboxes, staging preview
In the staging preview, a new mailbox offers Sent with Aerogram, in the language selected when it is created, with a link to https://Aerogram.cloud and a small embedded logo. You can edit this content freely; signatures in your existing mailboxes are preserved.
To use no signature, clear all its content, including the link and logo, then save. A saved empty signature does not return after reconnecting. Changes apply to future compositions; they do not rewrite saved drafts or scheduled messages.
- Open Aerogram Settings → Writing and sending → Signatures, then choose the relevant mailbox.
- Edit the signature, or clear all its content to remove it.
- Click Save and check the confirmation before leaving the view.
