Read email with control over remote images
Protected reading isolates email content and blocks remote images until you allow them.
How this helps
Opening a message does not let its content run scripts. Images hosted elsewhere are blocked by default, with a per-message choice or an account preference.
A practical example
A newsletter contains a remote image. You read its text first, then allow images for that message if you want to see the illustration.
In practice
Embedded images and attachments remain subject to format and size checks. Complex content may use a simplified view; the original remains accessible when available.
Encryption protects Aerogram’s stored cache. It is not end-to-end email encryption: the server must be able to process messages to display them.
This protection does not rewrite your messages, signatures or received text. The guide explains display choices and how to open attachments.
